It’s a household task that there’s no escaping, so choosing the right washing machine is an investment worth making. An efficient machine can make doing the washing a lot less of a chore, saving both time and money – and keep your clothes both fresh and clean and looking good as new. There is plenty to consider from size and capacity, to energy rating, spin speed and more. When we heard how impressed one of our sales advisers was with her new Samsung ecobubble™ AddWash™ washing machine we asked if she could share her experience to help highlight some of the great features that this bestselling machine has to offer.

“One of the first things that drew me to this washing machine was the sleek graphite colour which fits in nicely with my existing stainless steel appliances in the kitchen.

I was also particularly drawn to Samsung’s unique AddWash™ door which I’ve actually ended up using quite often. This ‘door within a door’ feature allows you to quickly drop in anything extra during the wash like a stray sock, additional softener or a hand-washed garment for the final rinse. For complete peace of mind, the machine comes with a 10 year warranty on the Digital Inverter Motor which, I have to say, is impressively quiet! 

The 9kg sized drum is fabulous as I’ve found I can get all my king size bedding done in one load. Since owning this machine, the amount of wash loads I have to do each week has definitely decreased as I can get so much more washed in one go. 

The machine has 14 different programmes to choose from, including a special cleaning programme which I use every 6 to 8 weeks. This helps to maintain the performance and cleanliness of the drum and prevent those unwanted odours and mould from accumulating. There is a separate rinse & spin cycle for hand-wash garments, plus a spin only cycle that spins as low as 400rpm which is handy if I have delicate garments to wash. 

The optional ecobubble™ function is fantastic for those stubborn stains, as it penetrates bubbles deep into the fabric to loosen tough stains. It does add on an extra half an hour to your cycle but it’s definitely worth it if wanting to get your whites white. Samsung’s ecobubble™ technology is efficient too, as it means you can wash at cooler temperatures without compromising the wash quality. 

My only minor complaint with this machine is that the bedding cycle has low temperature of 40°C and low spin speed of 800rpm which doesn’t really suit my needs so I have to choose my settings for this manually, although if you have blankets or a comforter on your bed then it’s ideal. 

I would definitely recommend the WW90K5413UX Samsung washing machine to others because it is so easy to use, looks great and is very quiet, which is a bonus if you want to set the machine to run at night using the convenient ‘delay end’ setting.”
